WPF passworChar '<' char is not possible

I was creating a wpf application while adding a passwordbox, I need to display '<' instead of '*'. I wrote the following code but unfortunately it is not working.It is throwing an error

<PasswordBox PasswordChar="<"></PasswordBox>.
